At Wuhan Engineering Institute, I studied Torpedo Engineering. The courses I took included mathematics, chemistry, mechanics, electronics, electrotechnics, thermodynamics, electric motor and heat engine.

 Work Experience

1983-1986    Shuguang Mechanical Factory     Quality Controller

Work with the manufacturing and testing of Depth-Controlling, Speed- Controlling and Orientation-Controlling Systems of an underwater vehicle.

1986-1998    Kunming Shipbuilding Testing Center   Product Accepter

Work with the assembling, testing, trial running, result analyzing and accepting of a torpedo. I was responsible for the mechanical part of the whole system.

1998-NOW    Kunming Industrial Zone   International Project Official

Work with Investment Promotion Bureau of Kunming National Economic and Technological Development Zone. This is a government agency that takes care of the economic development of the Zone. I work on international investment promotion, establishment approval for foreign companies, investment project planning, international cooperation, foreign affairs, translation. I am familiar with various departments of local governments, such as those of economic, foreign affairs, agricultural, science & technology, industrial & commercial, taxation and I have lots of contacts with different firms.

Minor Experiences        

Other minor experiences include 6 months working with a computer program, 6 months with the compiling of a dictionary, 4 months with a Regina factory (Sine-Italian joint venture in Yunnan), a project in a cigarette factory, one in a tobacco preparation factory, one in a metallurgical plant, one in a hospital, tourist guide for several Italian groups, another 3 months with Koch Company in Stuttgart, Germany and about 2 years as private tutor of the Chinese language.  

I have a good writing ability in my mother tongue, which can be demonstrated by the short stories, articles, academic papers published. With my present job, I frequently draft an official document. Also much experience in translating between English, Italian and Chinese, this again includes stories, article as well as notarial documents and technological texts.  

I have the experience of working with colleagues from other countries, of living, studying and working in Europe (from March 2001 to Oct.). I enjoy lots of international friendship. In 1999 I visited Britain, Holland, Hongkong and Switzerland as a member of an official delegation from Kunming Municipality.  

I am familiar with Internet, able to make web pages, process a photo, use Windows, Word and others. I worked as a programmer during the year of 1989 when I devised the English Chinese Special Dictionary Compiling System, for which I was awarded Scientific and Technological Development Prize.  

A good badminton player, a member of Yunnan Translators' Association, Kunming Writers' Union and Fujian Lexicographical Society, a big collector of dictionaries. Born in 1964 in Fuzhou, China, married with a daughter and a son. Presently live in 52 Guanping Road, Guanshang, Kunming 650200, China.
